The 23rd Annual Water Spittoon Race & Nautical Ball takes place on Saturday, March 11th at the Brick Tavern in Roslyn, Washington. For the event, the stools are pulled away from the bar and the 23 foot spittoon (for which the tavern is famous) is transformed into a Roslyn regatta.
Among the race classes are soap, wood and experimental (prior years have also had mechanical and paper, but I have not confirmed that those are still present this year). The boats must weigh no more than 1 ounce and must be under 3 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 3 inches tall.
The Brick will open at 10am on March, 11th and race registration is at 11am. The races start at 1pm and the entry fee is $10. See you at the races!
